We like to try and keep things social at Sodbury Cycle Sport. Sunday club rides are held every week all year round, meeting at 8.45 and leaving at 9.00 am from the Clock Tower, Chipping Sodbury, BS37 6AH.
PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES WE WILL BE MEETING AT THE GATE ON CHIPPING SODBURY COMMON THE ST JOHNS END OF TRINITY LANE.
We have our own Club Code of Conduct for club rides and tips for New Riders, no one gets left behind, yet provision is also made for those who want to race up the hills! Rides in the calendar are colour coded:
Green: Short, easy ride suitable for beginners
Yellow: Intermediate riders
Red: Faster pace for experienced riders wishing to test themselves.
Sunday Club ride distances are approximately 45-60 miles with an option to do a longer ride with a café stop. Informal club rides are organised by club members throughout the week so there is always someone going out for a ride you can meet up with.
Each Spring the club organises a feature ride up to 100 miles from Chipping Sodbury to Hay on Wye or a route riding the hills of the Bwlch and the Rhigos. Please let us know if you have an idea for a feature club ride, we are always looking for new routes! Details of our club rides (including planned routes) can be found on our Sodbury Cycle Sport Facebook page or contact James Meaden, Ride Coordinator. If you can't find a regular ride that is suitable for you, please let us know so we can start one up if there's sufficient demand
PLEASE NOTE: Sodbury Cycle Sport does not provide insurance cover nor accept liability for club ride participants, who all ride at their own risk. We strongly recommend that you purchase third party insurance.
