More Castle Combe antics
Its been 4 weeks since we reported the start of TTing in the club since this year failed to start well. The TT team have been turning up and having fun all in the name of healthy competition.
Tom Saunders turned the pedals to a great time of 22:28.24 making him the fastest Sodbury rider on the night in 25th place from 106 riders. Jeremy Tiley took the time 23:27.91 and 43rd, Matt Norris took 51st with 23:58'86, and Claire Mills came home in 95th overall and 14th women with 28:18'92.
With weather reported as being "a bit choppy" it was all in the air with some riders improving and some loosing time. Paul Derrick (the man with two first names) graced the tarmac and came home fastest Sodbury rider of the night in 18th place with 21:51'31, Tom Saunders was next in 31st place and a time 23:10.65. Wayne Williams opened up his TTing for the club with 23:33.55 and 34th whilst in 35th Jeremy Tiley had 23:34.05 #close. Matt Norris improved his previous time coming home in 23:56.18 even with the loan of Claire's front wheel and Claire Mills took 93rd and 14th woman with 28:57.78.
After a calm start to the evening a blustery weather front moved in making the racing interesting to say the least. Tom Saunders was once again first Sodbury rider back with the time 22:35.97 and 25th place. Jeremy Tiley was next storming around (excuse the weather related pun) in 23:28.27 and 34th and in 38th with 23:47.91 in his first race since C19 popped up its ugly face was Chris Britten. Matt Norris recorded 43rd with 24:09'38 and Claire Mills was 100th and 18th female with 28:52.66.
With storms promised riders stayed away, but a couple of brave Sodbury riders showed up to give it a go, Claire mills was 69th overall and 11th woman with 28:26.63 and Matt Norris had a PB with 33rd in the time 23:53.85. Fastest Sodbury rider on the night was Wayne Williams in 25th place with 23:19.24.
