At this point we have had two rounds in to our inter club TT series and our round is next, but what has been going on with our brave racing boys and girls?
Well week one had a great turn out, 33 riders went head to head and we brought the fight to them. On the shortened course Matt Norris came home with 18th place with a time of 19:12, Jo Jago got stopped by a HGV turning and still timed in 18:50, Matt Reynolds made 11th with 18:33 and Jeremy Tiley 10th with 18:14.
Week two proved to be a bit breezy but it didn't stop 31 riders from having a go, Claire Lawrence sped in in 20th and a time 20:29, Mark Pinker keeps on with his strong form with 14th and 18:37, Matt Reynolds 9th and 17:59, Chris Britten 8th and 17:51 and topping the Sodbury crew Tom Saunders 6th with 17:43.
This weekend saw Chris Britten racing on the U7B Bristol South open 10 mile TT on Saturday, with 40 riders turning up and weather conditions fair, and even though "the legs don't Feel so good" he managed a new coarse PB with a time of 23:34 and 13th place.
This Sunday had Jo Jago smashing it around the U32R in her next round of the hard riders TT series, this week run by Westbury Wheelers. Jo came in 2nd with a new coarse PB and the time 1:07:23. nothing seems to slow her down. Matt Reynolds and Chris Britten got at it again in the Battle in the bowl Super CX elites race in Winchester, a very warm and dusty race, 2 hours of hard racing later Chris came back with 49th place from 124 riders and 9 laps completed, Matt unfortunately suffered a mechanical and had to retire from the race.
