Lat weeks Severn Road Clubs 10 mile TT saw Sodbury Cycle Sport out in force with 6 riders taking part, some new faces aswell. With a tail wind for most of the route it promised to deliver some good times and a good sized field of 23 ment there was going to be some competition.
Matt Norris claimed a course PB with 24:25 and 14th place, Mark Pinker popped his TT cherry with a very good 24:21 and 13th place, Jo Jago raced on very tired legs and took 8 secounds of her time from last week with 23:58 and 12th, Tom Saunders had his first go on the course and cam in at 23:38 and 10th, Jeremy Tiley claimed a new course PB with 23:08 and 5th place and Chris Britten came home with a time of 23:03 and 4th place.
In short it's looking good for this season, Rolling on to the week ends events we find Jo Jago on the U75 Cheltenham CC's round of the hardriders TT series, recording a time of 58:19 to take yet another win. #bemorejo . Matt Reynolds and Chrs Britten travelled to Worcester to take part in the Wyre forest road race, Both riders tried their luck in breaks and on the last lap narrowly avoided a large crash that took out several riders. After being in a poor position into the last segment both found themselves boxed in an unable to contest the final sprint, Matt just pipped Chris by less than 2/10 of a second, Matt came in 34th and Chris 37th. Both are happy to have stayed rubber side down and Chris got to use some of his cyclo cross skills to stay out of trouble.
